About iCloud
By default, if iCloud is available, Phraseology will synchronize documents to iCloud. This is recommended, and provides a backup of the state of the app, even if you are not using it on multiple devices.
If you wish to use Phraseology with only local data, you can disable iCloud in the Settings > iCloud screen, and only local data will be used.
Phraseology does not store documents as files on disk, but rather uses a database. If you ever delete and re-install Phraseology, your document database will be rebuilt from the data in iCloud. This can take a little while, depending on network speed and other factors – so be patient if your documents do not immediately reappear.
Can I reset my iCloud data?
Yes. If you wish to clean out your iCloud data for Phraseology, we recommend the following steps:
- Disable iCloud in Phraseology on the Settings > iCloud view.
- Open the iOS Settings app, and go to iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage.
- Locate Phraseology in “Documents & Data”, tap on it, then tap “Edit”
- Tap “Delete All”.
This will totally clear Phraseology data from your iCloud account. You can re-enabled iCloud at a later date and start from scratch if you desire.
