Drafts stores a version history of major edits to drafts. These versions can be used to reference or restore a draft to a previous state.
To access a draft's versions, tap the draft detail button (i). This button is available at the top of the screen when the draft is active, or by swiping to the left on the draft in the draft list.
The number of versions available will appear near the bottom of the detail. Tap to get a list of the dates/times the versions were created. Tap any version in the list to view the content. Versions are not editable, but two functions are available when viewing a version:
- Copy to Clipboard: Copies the text of the version to the system clipboard.
- Restore: Rolls back the content of the draft to the state it was in this version.
Note: Versions created locally on a device are stored on that device and available immediately offline. Versions are also synchronized via Drafts' CloudKit sync if it is enabled, but will only be downloaded when requested if created on another device.
