If Drafts has been given permission to access location services on your device, the current location of your device will be accessed for the following purposes:
- Store the location a draft was created.
- Store the location the content of a draft was last modified.
- Allow access to [[longitude]] and [[latitude]] tags in actions which provide information about the device's current location.
The first time Drafts is launched, you will be asked to allow the app permission to access your location. If you tap "Allow", location tracking is enabled in Drafts and you need take no further action. At any time you can disable or enable tracking of location data in Drafts by opening the iOS Settings app, and navigating to Privacy > Location Services and toggling Drafts' permissions. Disabling location access will not remove any stored location data, but will simply prevent Drafts from storing any new locations.
The creation and modification locations stored on a draft can be accessed in the draft detail view behind the (i) icon. Detail will map the locations, and the "Map" button can be used to open these locations in the Maps app.
Stored locations can also used in actions. For details, read about templates and tags.
