This documentation is for actions which send drafts out to the built-in Reminders app. Drafts can also import from a list in Reminders, for more information about using Reminders to get text into Drafts, see the Reminders integration docs.
The List in Reminders action step will create reminders in the iOS Reminder app, using each line in the draft as a separate reminder.
The configurable values on this step include:
- List: The name of the list to send the reminders. Leave blank for the default Reminders list, or see below for information on dynamically targeting lists.
- Note delimiter: Enter a string to be used as a delimiter to specify the end of a task name and the beginning of notes to include on the task. This is purely optional and the default value is the pipe character ("|"). If the delimiter appears in a line of text, the text before the delimiter will become the reminder title, the text after will be added as notes on the reminder. So, for example if you might type a draft with a line "Call Jim|Discuss status of project" and the reminder will be created with the title "Call Jim" and the note field filled "Discuss status of project".
Dynamic List Specifiers
In addition to pre-defining a list name for a List in Reminders step, the step will look at the first line of the text of the draft and if it starts with a "#", "!" or "@" character, the text on that line will override the "List" value on the step and be used as the list name.
