The HTML Preview action step opens a web browser with an HTML preview. The most common use for this step is to create Markdown previews, but it can also be used for other HTML content previews.
The configurable values are:
- Style: The HTML Preview comes with a few pre-defined CSS stylesheet templates well suited to Markdown content previews. You can select one of these predefined styles here.
- Run Markdown conversion: If on, the draft will be run through the Markdown engine to convert to HTML for the preview. This setting is only applicable to the predefined styles.
- Use custom template: If on, the template defined below will be used instead of the predefined ones. You can create an type of custom preview you wish using this custom template.
- Template: The template used if "use custom template" is enabled. The template should generate a full HTML page with html, body tags.
When an HTML Preview is included in a multi-step action, the preview dialog contains both "Cancel" and "Done" buttons. If the "Cancel" button is used to exit the preview, the action will be stopped and no further steps after the preview will be fired.
