Interact can backup all contact records in the vCard format, either on-demand on as a scheduled backup to iCloud Drive.
On-Demand Backup
To create and export a full backup of your contact records, visit Interact Settings > Backup and tap the "Export Backup" button. Interact will generate a vCard format export file of all your contact records and open a share sheet to select a target destination to send the export file. The share sheet can be used to email the file to yourself, message it, or save it to other destinations depending on what apps and services are available on your device.
Scheduled Backup
Interact can also periodically create and save a contact backup file to iCloud Drive automatically. Enable this feature in Interact Settings > Backup.
When exactly the backup is trigger can depend on iOS somewhat, but when Interact is launched or if iOS launches Interact in the background for Background Refresh updates, and it has been more than 7 days since your last backup, a new export will be generated.
These files will be save in the Interact folder in your iCloud Drive, with the name "Contact Backup-[timestamp].vcf".
When enabling this feature, Interact will request notification permissions. Allowing permission if you wish to receive notifications when successful backups are performed.
Restoring Backups
The vCard format files generated by the backup feature are an industry standard contact export format and can be imported using iOS, Mac or other standard Contact apps and tools if you ever need to restore individual or complete contact records.
