Drafts can optionally log actions performed. Logging can be useful to keep a record of actions performed on a draft, or in troubleshooting problems when executing an action. Logging of actions is a per-action setting and can be configured when editing an action.
The content of the log varies by the output of the action steps in the action, but will typically contain information on the result of each step and stores the current location of the device at the time the action was executed.
Setting Log Level on Actions
To set the log level on an action, edit an action by swiping right on action in list and tapping the edit button. The action log level setting appears in the Advanced section near the bottom of the view.
Log level options are:
- None: No logs will be created when this action is run, regardless of whether is was successful or failed. This is a good choice for actions with no side effects, like "Copy to Clipboard".
- Errors: Generate a log only when an error occurs in the execution of the action. This is particularly useful in troubleshooting failures.
- Info: Always generate a log when the action is performed, recording success or failure.
Accessing Logged Actions on a Draft
To view actions logged on the current draft, tap the (i) draft detail button. A summary of logs and the result of the last action log are located near the bottom. Tap this entry for a complete history, or to drill down to individual logs.
